Non-ResidentTax Atlas

Spain · filing duty

When does a non-resident property owner use Modelo 210?

Distinguish rent, imputed income and a property sale before choosing the filing path.

Direct answer

Modelo 210 is the central non-resident return for several Spanish property-income events. A rented property, an available urban property and a disposal are not the same declaration, even though they share the model number.

Working route

01

Classify the event

Identify whether the period produced rent, imputed urban-property income, a transfer gain or more than one category.

02

Match the income code

The official instructions use different income-type codes and property data for each event.

03

Check ownership shares

Joint owners generally need their own share and taxpayer data handled correctly rather than one informal household total.

Hard stop

Stop for a sale, inheritance, permanent establishment, disputed residence, representative requirement or mixed rental/imputed periods you cannot separate.
